Unfortunately, there are no plans at this time for season 6 of The Magicians. However, when the show was canceled, Syfy released a heartfelt statement thanking the talented crew, creators, cast, writers and everyone else involved in the series saying: “Thanks to you, magic will be in our hearts forever. The Syfy series, based on the novel of the same name by Lev Grossman, will not be renewed for the sixth season. SYFY canceled the show after five seasons.
While there were calls from many other streaming services to pick up the show, that hasn't happened. The magicians have reached the end of the road. Quentin Coldwater enrolls at Brakebills University to study Magic Pedagogy and become a magician. By enrolling at Brakebills University of Magical Pedagogy to train as a magician, Quentin Coldwater discovers that the magical world of his favorite children's book is real and poses a threat to humanity.
As a team of teenagers are allowed to go to a private foundation, they learn the details of ceremonial magic, “Wizards meet them. Speaking of the cancellation, the producers of the series defined that the cancellation was no longer due to problems that encompassed the plot. Which is annoying, because The Magicians has consistently demonstrated that it is capable of producing creative solutions to important story or character problems. John McNamara together with his co-writers decided to build an ending that could possibly become an ending of the series in the event of its cancellation.
For the sixth season of The Magicians, there is no story yet, and it's reasonable to anticipate that that won't happen anytime soon. A world built from the very essence of magicians would have been a prominent story to be examined and significantly replete with a fascinating plot. Despite the show's huge popularity, Syfy has decided to end it, and that's sad news for all the fans who love seasons with unique stories like 'The Magician. But that still doesn't explain why Syfy made the decision to scrap it, especially considering that the team behind The Magicians had a lot of other narrative lines they wanted to explore.

In the unlikely event that the sixth season of The Magicians is revived by some unknown entity, there is no way of knowing when it will air. Recognizing that it is a hypothesis about a possible revival of The Office, it is now not out of doubt that The Magicians will no longer rise with some other season. So it seems unlikely that Netflix will choose The Magicians to continue, even though many fans watch the show on that particular streaming service.
Despite the fact that the series is one of the only scripted shows left on the network, SYFY chose to cancel The Magicians in the middle of the fifth season. Considering that there is speculation about a possible revival of The Office, it is not out of the question that The Magicians will not present another season.
